" Splash of Fall " By Beverly Guilliams..............................................
"Lake Sacajawea Park was designed in 1922 by S. Herbert Hare with the assistance of George Kessler and J.C. Nichols. All three were nationally known for their contributions to the development of Kansas City and the Kansas City parks system. The men agreed to guide Mr. Long in his vision for the planned city of Longview, Wa as a personal favor.
Lake Sacajawea has gorgeous old growth trees to make for a nice green atmosphere. There are kayak/canoe rentals, several docks for
fishing bass, croupy, and other fish, great paths for biking, walking/jogging
