Description
I love barns and the old barns are disappearing so I have taken some photos of the barns in our area and will be painting a series of them.
I altered this one in Photoshop to warm it up and make it more like a summer day.
We used to play in the barn as kids and the hay and the wheat bins and I remember it this way.
The Red Barn 2 is a closer image of the work on canvas.

I'm so pleased you're doing this, Claire. Who ever thought these wonderful, old buildings would be fast disappearing. I just got in from taking some shots of an old bank barn that is on a demolition list - so sad! Your painting is wonderful! Can't wait to see more. FAVE

Carol - your photos are always so lovely... I took so many great pics to work from - this is a more accurate pic of my painting ... hard to capture the colours when there is a lot of red
