Claire, this is just gorgeous! You have done the textures so well I feel I could reach out and touch this beautiful tree. And you use such rich colours. Just love it! :)v

V/F I looked at this last night, fell immediately in love with it (of course), and wanted to figure out what made this painting so special to me. Art is so personal. This is strong, bold, and stands it's ground. I love how it is a bit brighter, a bit rougher, a bit "in your face" - outside the norm - it reaches beyond the expected. What music were you listening to as you brought this painting into the world?
Claire Bull replied:
Remember I told you I am working on landscapes... I think I will try more of these Pines - the big old pines are famous around here!! Maybe the pine represents how I have been feeling lately haha - a big brighter, a bit rougher and a bit more in your face - Maybe I am just healing and the work is showing that. As far as music goes, have you ever heard of "Chris de Burgh"? This was painted to "Don't Pay the Ferryman" and "Patricia the Stripper" - two of my faves by him... ;)
