An old fashioned outhouse or privy in the rural countryside or wilderness at night. The bright kaleidoscope stars shining to light the path.
A tribute to the days when we actually used outhouses and some of them are still being used today. I painted this whimsical fun piece for bathrooms everywhere and makes a fun gift or painting for that wall that needs a conversation piece and lots of color!
This is based on the outhouse in Minden, Ontario where we would follow a tricky worn path from the tent, carrying our flashlight and hoping there was a full moon and stars to help light the way. And the old outhouse at Honey Harbour that I discovered on one of my walks.
Acrylic painting 16 x 20 regular canvas from imagination by Claire Bull.
The painting has been slightly altered digitally to present it in a larger size with much clearer detail and clarity as my "quick photo" of it was taken before it was sent off to the gallery. I have manipulated the photo but it is quite close to the original. A little brighter, and less detail in this but some textural effects in the grass area. I will post that "actual" painting as a greeting card option.
And the original 16 x 20 artwork is for sale.
My art is offered here through Fine Art America and divisions of their company. The watermark does not appear on your purchase. Thank you.
